The parser does its best to auto-detect structure from common patterns. If you want full control, use the outline format below — what you write is exactly what you'll get.

Auto-detected patterns (just paste, no formatting required)

• Numbered lists — 1. Do this / 2. Then this. Each number becomes its own phase.
• Blank-line groups — paragraphs separated by blank lines become phases; the first line of each group is the phase title.
• Sentences — if all else fails, sentences split into phases (3+ sentences only).

Outline format (recommended for exact results)

Indentation drives the structure:

• No indent = phase title (a major section).
• 2 spaces = a step under the most recent phase.
• 4+ spaces or a line starting with o = a sub-bullet under the most recent step.

Special lines (optional, but powerful)

• = word :: body :: link — defines a term. Anywhere {word} appears in steps, it becomes a clickable definition popover. The :: link is optional.
• ~ word -> url — defines a URL alias. Anywhere {word} appears, it becomes a clickable link to that URL.
• {Another procedure name} in step text — creates a sub-procedure link. The word(s) inside braces must match the name of another procedure exactly. Clicking opens that procedure as a sub-task.
• {Visible word|Target name} — same as above, but the visible word stays as you wrote it while the link points to "Target name". Use this when you want a short phrase to link to a longer-named procedure.

Tips

• After importing, every phase has exactly one step (the app's model). Multi-step phases in your source get flattened — each step becomes its own phase with the step text as the title.
• Images embedded in a .docx are extracted and attached to nearby steps automatically. You can drag them between cards afterward.
• You can edit everything after import — this format guide just helps you start in a clean state.
